In recognition of April as Stress Awareness Month, Social Model Recovery Systems hosted a “Strengthening Connections” team-building event at WellNest Pasadena. Led by Senior Director of Treatment Services, Denise Hernandez Felice, the event focused on enhancing communication, trust, and collaboration among staff. Through interactive activities and shared experiences, team members deepened their connections, reinforcing the importance of unity in delivering compassionate care.
This initiative underscores Social Model Recovery Systems’ commitment to fostering a supportive work environment, recognizing that strong interpersonal relationships among staff are vital for effective client care.
Dry float therapy, also known as zero-gravity dry flotation, is a revolutionary relaxation treatment that simulates the sensation of floating in water without getting wet. During the session, team members laid on a specialized bed equipped with a soft, dry membrane that cradles the body, creating a feeling of weightlessness and suspension akin to floating. This innovative therapy allowed them to disconnect from the stresses of everyday life and immerse themselves in a tranquil experience.
“This unique approach to relaxation not only promotes a sense of calm but also serves as an effective tool for stress relief—making it the perfect choice for our team during Stress Awareness Month. Many team members reported feeling rejuvenated and more focused after the session, underscoring the profound impact of prioritizing mental wellness.”
